Examination of the woman
The examination of the woman includes:
A detailed case history to determine
Menstrual cycle
- Previous pregnancies
- Infections of the internal female sexual organs
- Other diseases
- Lifestyle (obesity, smoking, alcohol)
- Other matters affecting the reproductive ability
Foreign patients are asked to bring with them examinations that include
Blood samples for hormone analyses:
On the third day (2nd to 3rd day) of menstruation
- FSH #
- LH #
- Oestradiol #
- Prolactin #
- TSH #
- Androgen status (only upon special indication)#
Blood samples to be tested for infections:
- Hiv 1 and 2: Anti-Hiv-1,2 *
- Hepatitis B: HBsAg and Anti-HBc *
- Hepatitis C: Anti-HCV-Ab *
- Rubella (if negative, the woman must be vaccinated)#
* Blood tests for HIV and Hepatitis must either be done in Denmark (see our price list) or analysed in a laboratory in your country that is certified according to the EU Tissues and Cells Directive. Laboratories that are accredited by DIN EN ISO 15189 are also accepted. We need a signed copy of the original test results that testifies that the laboratory is certified according to the EU Tissues and Cells Directive or a copy of the ISO certificate. Otherwise we have to analyse them in Denmark.
