I
graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 1988 as a biologist with
special training in Fertility Treatment. My dissertation was carried
out on embryo implantation at the Laboratory of Reproductive Biology at
the national University Hospital (Rigshospitalet) under supervision of
Prof. Anne Grete Byskov.
Subsequently,
I worked at the Institute of Clinical Reproduction at the Faculty of
Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen, as Laboratory Director for the
Fertility Department at NOVO, and since 2004 I am Laboratory Director
at the public Fertility Clinic at Holbaek Hospital. In 2000, I defended
my PhD thesis on growth factors within the fallopian tube at the
Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen.
I have
been Laboratory Director at the Danish Fertility Clinic since 1995. The
first Danish child born after ICSI was conceived here at our clinic.
I
am responsible for quality assurance, documentation and introduction of
new techniques in the laboratory and take care of continuous education
of the laboratory staff.
