Ursula Bentin-Ley
Medical Director
Specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, PhD
I
have worked with infertility and IVF treatment since 1991 when I was
appointed research assistant at the Fertility Clinic at Herlev
University Hospital. In 1995 I defended my PhD thesis on the uterine
mucosa.
Subsequently, I
was trained as a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist at the
National University Hospital (Rigshospitalet). I have worked as a staff
specialist at the Fertility Clinics at Hvidovre and Holbaek Hospitals.
Since 2006 I hold a permanent position at the Danish Fertility Clinic.
Concurrently
with my clinical work, I am affiliated to the Institute of Medical
Anatomy at the University of Copenhagen. I have continued my research
into uterine receptivity and the possibilities of the egg attaching the
uterina mucosa. I can offer supplementary examinations of the uterine
mucosa through my close cooperation with leading research groups in
Europe and the United States.
I
find it very important to keep my knowledge updated in the ever growing
field of assisted reproduction and therefore participate in 3-4
advanced courses and congresses each year, to offer you the most recent
improvements. I also teach other doctors, nurses and embryologists
within my own field of expertise.
