Birgit Olkjær

Nurse

I am a registered nurse since 1979. Since 1986 I have worked in gynecology and in 1990 I participated in the startup of the Fertility Clinic at Herlev University Hospital. I have had a few years leave from the Fertility Clinic to become a specialist nurse in ultrasound, but in addition, I have always worked with fertility treatments.

It has given me great experience in the field, as I constantly find exciting and challenging to work with. I do my best to continually update my knowledge by attending relevant courses and training, like I myself teach new colleagues within the fertility area.

I started here in the clinic in May 2011. You will meet me assisting the doctors during egg retrieval and embryo transfer. I perform ultrasound scans and inseminate women, offer guidance and information about treatments and provide you with medication.
