Elisabeth Clare Larsen

Speciallæge i gynækologi, Ph.D.

My interest in fertility treatment began in 1998, where I had an optional stay at the Fertility Clinic at Copenhagen University Hospital Rigshospitalet. The stay was completed in 2000 by 3 exciting years, where I was employed as a research assistant in the same place. In 2004, I defended my Ph.D. thesis on fertility in women cured for cancer in childhood and adolescence.

I became a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics in 2007 and worked until March 2017 at the Fertility Clinic at Rigshospitalet. During the 10 years, I gained solid experience in dealing with the investigation and treatment of infertility including repeated pregnancy loss. My special area of responsibility was egg donation.

Since April 2017 I have been employed at the Fertility and Endocrinological Clinic at Sjaelland University Hospital in Roskilde. Here my knowledge has been updated in the treatment of reproductive medicine in women.

I have been working part time at Dansk Fertilitetsklinik for several years, but will be full time employed from February 1st 2018.

For the past 15 years, I have regularly taught medical students, nurses and upcoming specialist physicians in gynecology. In addition, I have participated and are still participating in research into the treatment of infertility. For the same reason, I attend courses and congresses several times annually, as it inspires new projects and, not least, introducing new treatment methods.
